Assessment (Centre)
What is an assessment (centre)?
An assessment is an evaluation of the knowledge and/or competencies, e.g. languages and software; skills or capacities, e.g. logical reasoning ability; and behaviour, personality, mostly with a view to a specific position. An assessment also involves a psychological or personality test.
Types of assessments
- Development centre: the potential and development possibilities are examined. An answer is formulated to the question: What could the employee achieve in terms of capacities and behaviour? Strengths and development areas are identified.
- Assessment centre: This generally concerns the question: what exactly can the candidate currently do and to what extent is he or she appropriate or not for a job?
