What is outplacement?
‘A full set of support services and recommendations that are provided, individually or in a group, to enable employees themselves to find jobs with new employers or to develop occupations as self-employed people in the shortest possible time’ (Collective Labour Agreement 82 - CLA 82)
The services offered to you by Select HR’s outplacement team complete the set of professional HR support services for our clients: you, as client, and the former employee.
Laws regulate the individual or group support of dismissed employees:
- Outplacement on a voluntary basis: CLA 51 stipulates the rules for outplacement that you can voluntarily offer a dismissed employee
- Compulsory outplacement: CLA 82b describes compulsory outplacement support for employees aged 45 years or older who have at least one year’s seniority with you as the employer concerned
- Compulsory outplacement with restructuring of companies. In this case, outplacement must be offered to all employees, regardless of their age and seniority, except for employees with temporary contracts for whom voluntary outplacement will be provided - www.herstructureringen.be
We also offer efficient, short-term support for dismissed employees younger than 45 years of age.
