Applicants who meet the job criteria according to their CVs will be contacted by telephone.

If you are fully occupied with job applications, you know that you can be called for more information or to plan an appointment for an initial introductory interview.
Be prepared for this, i.e. answer your phone politely and ensure you have a short voice mail message on your answering machine; no recruiter wants to first listen to a song or greeting some minutes long before he or she can record a message.

Especially for jobs in which communication skills are important, the contact by phone is an initial indication of whether an applicant may or may not have verbal strengths.
