Function

MISSION

 

The TSE is the main point of contact between the production departments and the customers. He/she is in charge of providing the best technical services and information to customers related to the products he/she is accountable for.

In this role, the TSE is therefore responsible for meeting and anticipating customers’ needs and expectations related to a specific portfolio of products.

 

The objective of the TSE is to translate clients’ needs into operations and critical products properties ensuring quality standards are respected. The TSE has therefore a strong involvement in the product line strategy definition and implementation.

Moreover, to fulfill this mission, the job holder will effectively collaborate with many stakeholders within various internal departments (Production, R&D, Sales,…), but also with key customers located through EU, the USA and Asia.

 

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

As Technical Service Engineer, you will:

 

  • Belong to the Marketing Department of the company
  • Be plant-based and be the customer’s voice within our production facilities
  • Collect customers’ needs and information & master the product features required to optimize the efficiency and the quality expected
  • Define and implement the product line strategy at local level together with the Marketing Manager
  • Be the key technical person to drive the product qualification process at customers
  • Assure clear communication between Operation Leadership and the Local Product Team
  • Qualify new profitable products

Profile

PROFILE

  • You have a engineering degree or a technical background allowing you to understand customers’ processes, applications as well as the key product functionalities and be able to dialogue effectively with all internal parties.
  • You have a minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in a similar function (ideally in a chemical/process industry)
  • You have a B2B experience
  • You are able to understand customers’ needs and have strong relationship skills
  • You have a real commercial feeling
  • You are autonomous in technical and quality problems solving
  • You are team player and have excellent communication skills
  • You are fluent in English, the knowledge of German would be a strong asset
  • You are flexible and ready to travel abroad (Europe, US, Asia)
