Lisa received a message from Veronique in the Herentals office in May. She was working as a recruiter for one of Select’s competitors, but wanted to take the next step in her career. In less than two weeks, Veronique had pointed her in the direction of Kemin – a client that’s been working with Select since 2014, and which was looking for a recruitment specialist.
What was your first impression of Select?
I first came into contact with Select when I was looking for a new job, of course. Everything went very smoothly and it felt like a good personal connection. Veronique was able to convince me that Kemin was the right choice for me, and she was right; it’s been a good career move for me. She always kept me updated throughout the application process, and called me a couple of times soon after I’d started to see how everything was going. As a recruiter I obviously know what goes on, but Veronique really seems to value my career, so it’s not just about making money for Select.
And as a customer?
I’ve been working with Veronique, on the other side, ever since I started here. What struck me straight away was the good feedback I received. There’s plenty of transparency and Veronique always keeps me updated. She knows that I’m busy, so she doesn’t bombard me with emails and phone calls, but she does make sure everything is followed up efficiently. And she knows our company through and through. She works very thoroughly and wants to know everything that’s going on. She sometimes asks for a tour of the company, for example, to be able to explain to candidates exactly how we work.
What positions has Select already filled at Kemin?
Everything from manual workers to office personnel. We can rely on Select for almost all roles. Even if it’s not their core business to look for a logistics manager, for example, they’ll still try to help us. They really think together with us and respect us as a company. I only have to call and I’ll hear Veronique’s cheery voice. We also work with other agencies alongside Select for very specific profiles, but Select really stands out.
So what makes the difference?
Every recruitment agency says they’re ‘different’, but Select really is. They work in a way that’s tailored to the client and build relationships based on trust. Just like with us. Veronique really thinks together with you, and works to build personal connections. If a profile isn’t an exact match, for example, they’ll pull out all the stops to find the right person. And even when a profile is a good match, the way they personally follow everything up ensures candidates really want to keep working with us.
