This privacy statement explains how we process your personal data and ensures that it is always handled and protected with the utmost care. Processing is carried out in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

4. PURPOSES OF PROCESSING YOUR PERSONAL DATA

5. AUTOMATED DECISION MAKING
Your personal data is not subject to profiling, and no automated decisions will be made about you.
6. DATA RETENTION PERIOD
Select Group retains your personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose for which it is used, or no longer than required to meet legal and regulatory obligations. Retention periods depend on applicable legislation and the specific purpose. They are reviewed periodically. A schematic overview is provided above.
7. SHARING DATA WITH THIRD PARTIES
Select Group does not share your personal data with third parties unless:
- It is necessary for contract performance
- We have a legal right and/or obligation to do so, or a public authority requests it
- We believe it is necessary to protect our rights or property, prevent crime, or protect national security or employee safety
We may transfer data to processors performing tasks on our behalf. They only receive the data necessary for their tasks and may not use it for other purposes. We sign processing agreements with all processors to ensure adequate data protection.
8. TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA OUTSIDE THE EU
Select Group only transfers personal data outside the EU if the European Commission has deemed the country adequate. If not, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data.

Our website uses cookies in accordance with our cookie policy.
10. LIABILITY
Select Group takes great care to ensure the quality and reliability of its website, services, and data processing. However, we cannot be held liable for direct or indirect damages resulting from:

- Incorrect or incomplete information on our website
- Personal data processing
unless caused by intentional or gross negligence by Select Group or its agents.
You indemnify Select Group against third‑party claims resulting from your use of our website or services, unless caused by intentional or gross negligence by Select Group.
If Select Group is nevertheless held liable, indirect damages (consequential loss, lost profits, data loss, loss of clientele) are excluded. Total liability is limited to the lower of:
- the amount paid by Select Group’s liability insurer, or
- €1,000 per incident and €2,000 per calendar year
This limitation does not apply in cases of intentional or gross negligence or where prohibited by law.
11. YOUR RIGHTS
a) Right of access
You may access your personal data and how we use it at any time.
b) Right to rectification, erasure, and restriction
You may request correction, completion, or deletion of your personal data. You cannot object to data we must retain by law. You may also request restriction of processing.
c) Right to object
You may object to processing for serious and legitimate reasons.
d) Right to data portability
You may receive your personal data in a structured, machine‑readable format and/or transfer it to another controller.
e) Right to withdraw consent
If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
Exercising your rights
You may contact us by mail or email at privacy@select-group.be. To verify your identity, include a copy of the front of your ID card with your photo and MRZ blacked out. This copy is destroyed immediately after verification.
We will respond as soon as possible and within four weeks.
You may also lodge a complaint with:
- Belgium: Data Protection Authority (www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be)
- Luxembourg: National Commission for Data Protection (www.cnpd.public.lu)
12. HOW WE PROTECT PERSONAL DATA
Select Group takes data protection seriously and implements appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure, and unauthorized modification. If you suspect improper security or misuse, contact one of our offices or our Data Protection Officer at privacy@select-group.be.
13. WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF A DATA BREACH?
In the event of a data breach, Select Group follows a clear action plan:
- Detection and reporting: Systems are continuously monitored; employees must report incidents immediately
- Assessment: The breach is evaluated for severity and impact
- Notification to authorities: If risk exists, the breach is reported within 72 hours to the relevant authority (GBA or CNPD)
- Communication to affected individuals: If high risk exists, individuals are informed promptly
- Documentation and evaluation: All breaches are logged and reviewed to prevent recurrence
14. CHANGES
If any changes are made to this privacy statement, we will always publish them on the Select Group website. All significant changes will be announced through appropriate notices on our website or via other communication channels.
